NIVEA’s first products developed specifically for skin of colour

For African Skin

Recognising that skin of colour has some unique nourishment challenges, NIVEA launched its first products aimed specifically at this market.

The Radiant & Beauty range launched across several global markets. A beautiful TVC and manifesto video were produced, and we were tasked with transcreating assets from this for various formats, including OOH, digital media and print.

Assets at scale

Using the video and still assets captured from the TVC shot, the team produced over 300 assets, targeted for different global markets and audiences according to their user journey on the sales funnel. Assets included video cut-downs for social media, location targeted banners, online display adverts, social media posts and carousels, digital and print OOH, and magazine adverts.

Transcreation for video

One of the challenges with repurposing TVC adverts is adapting the 16×9 longer format for digital use, while ensuring the narrative is retained and the output meets social media brand requirements. I worked closely with two junior designers, ensuring that the brand’s integrity was maintained and that we produced the best possible outcome for every usage.
