The Challenge:
We were briefed to create social media content for Q4, to included themes such as Autumn, Halloween, Christmas and New Year’s Eve.
The catch was that we could not shoot content, but had to rather try repurpose what was available on the brand’s hub. We had to navigate around regional usage rights, minimal shoot content and unsuitable assets (either because of resolution or format).
The Solution:
After realising the limitations we faced, I began by considering what we had available, and how we could leverage this to create some fresh content. I tapped into content we had shot for recipes, using end cup stills and repurposing them in new ways. With additional support from some common brand assets (such as the trademarked red mug), together with some creative use of stock images and footage, we were able to conceptualise and create multiple different social media assets. These included cinemagraph-style videos, social media polls, image posts, stories and video content.
